Physicians in Palliative Care

The involvement of the family physician, caring for their patient at home, is an integral part of home-based palliative care. The Mississauga Halton Palliative Care Network, working with the Local Health Integrated Network (MH LHIN) is committed to improving palliative services across the LHIN. To accomplish this goal, I was appointed as part-time Medical Director of the MH PCN in March, 2009. I would like to strengthen the role of family physicians in palliative care, and support physicians to care for their own patients.

The following is a link to a survey to hear about what you, and physicians like you, think of palliative care and what might make it easier for you to provide this care to your patients.
